SA-AL series spinel refractories are characterized by high density, high hardness, and good thermal shock resistance. The melt from the side-blown furnace is discharged to the launder through a siphon, which is the most severe part of the entire furnace operation. It needs to withstand mechanical scouring by the melt, chemical erosion by slag, and thermal shock damage caused by drastic temperature changes. Therefore, SA-AL series spinel refractories can be used here.

SA-AL series spinel refractories are made by pressing with a pressure machine, drying, and then high-temperature sintering. After passing quality control, they are packaged using wooden pallets, paper corners, and plastic steel straps.
