On September 10, 2021, Mr. Zhao Wenhau, the company’s founder, accompanied by Li Huixing, the company’s Deputy General Manager of Technology, along with leaders from the Jinzhou Science and Technology Bureau and Su Shiyi, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Jinzhou Metal and Metallurgy Industry Association, accepted an invitation from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association to attend the review meeting for the National Science and Technology Progress Award at the headquarters of Daye Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. Group.
The reviewed project is: Key Technological Innovation and Application of Long-Term, High-Oxygen Top-Blowing Smelting for Complex Mineral Sources. The expert panel for the review meeting consists of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and numerous industry experts. At the meeting, the experts highly recognized the achievements made by our company’s SA spinel products, which have been used in the Daye Nonferrous Metals Ausmelt furnace and have demonstrated “stable operation for 785 days—exceeding 26 months—and setting a new record for the service life of refractory materials in Ausmelt smelting furnaces.”
This project boasts the highest oxygen enrichment concentration among similar furnace types worldwide; its furnace lifespan is the longest among comparable furnaces globally; and it handles solid waste on a scale that ranks among the largest in the world. As a result, it has brought substantial economic benefits to the participating enterprises, increasing their annual profits by more than 290 million yuan. The project was unanimously praised by the attending experts as “high-end refractory material of internationally leading standard,” and it holds great potential for widespread application and promotion.
