On September 16, 2021, our company held a press conference on the scientific and technological innovation achievements of member enterprises in the Jinzhou Metal New Materials Industry Association, during which we publicly announced the successful application of the SA Great Wall series spinel refractory products in the Daye Nonferrous Metals Top-Blowing Smelting Project.
Deputy Director Qian Junwei and Section Chief Xun Zhiguang from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, along with leaders from the district-level Bureaus of Industry and Information Technology, Science and Technology, Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Municipal Association of New Metal Materials, as well as experts and scholars from universities both at home and abroad, and reporters from municipal television stations and daily newspapers, attended the press conference. Mr. Zhao Wenhau, the company’s founder, joined the discussion along with Liu Shu, the company’s chairman, and other members of the general manager’s office.
At the press conference, our company primarily announced that the SA Great Wall series spinel refractory products, when used in the Daye Nonferrous Metals Ausmelt furnace, have been operating smoothly for 785 days—exceeding 26 months—and have set a new world record for the longest service life among similar furnace types. The product has been unanimously approved by a review panel composed of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and numerous industry experts. The SA Great Wall series spinel refractory products manufactured by Jinzhou Great Wall Refractories Co., Ltd. are classified as high-end refractory materials. Furthermore, the “Long-term, High-Oxygen Top-Blowing Smelting Technology Developed under Complex Ore Conditions,” jointly tackled by our company and Daye Nonferrous Metals, has reached an internationally leading level in the field of top-blown smelting. It is recommended that the technology be accelerated for wider adoption and application. Meanwhile, at the press conference, Comrade Qi Guojun, Senior Research Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, was officially appointed as our company’s technical advisor, further enhancing and strengthening our company’s capabilities in technological research, development, and promotion.
During the press conference and symposium, leaders at all levels highly praised and recognized our company’s products as well as their promising potential for future market development. They expressed hope that the enterprise would seize the opportunity, keep up the good work, continuously innovate, and carry forward the aspirations and development of China’s national industry, thereby making an even greater contribution to the advancement of China’s metallurgical industry.
